EPW - Armand Schwob & Frère, La Chaux-de-Fonds, "Mysterieuse" transparent mystery watch with hands driven by rotating clear flat crystal disks behind clear mystery dial, 54mm, silver OF original case, band with button at 1 for release of front, SW with hands manually pushed to set, clear fixed dial with painted gilt numerals and central decoration, surrounded by elaborately engraved crescent form plates to front and rear, rear having signature to upper portion, cylinder escapement, 10J, gilt mvt in crescent shape concealed beneath elaborately engraved crescent form cuvette, s#2057.
CONDITION:
Mvt: NR, likely broken mainspring, balance wheel out of alignment with likely broken balance staff, hairspring looks out of shape, overhaul needed, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, good gilt tone, some micro-fine scratches; dial with some wear to hour numerals, underlying rotating glass disks appear flawless apart from surface dirtiness; excellent hands, minute with small bend to tip; case shows very little wear, an attractive light patina, nick or small ding to rear bezel at upper-left; tight bow, crown shows very little wear; good glass crystals.
